By downloading, installing, or using Splitie ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.

Splitie is a bill-splitting application that helps users track and share expenses within groups. The App allows you to create expense groups, add participants, record expenses, and calculate settlements.

3. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Use the App only for lawful purposes
  • Keep your group access codes confidential and share them only with intended participants
  • Provide accurate information when recording expenses
  • Not attempt to interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality

4. Access Codes

Groups are shared via access codes. Anyone with an access code can view and modify the group's expenses. You are responsible for protecting your access codes. We cannot recover or reset compromised groups.

5. Purchases and Subscriptions

The App offers free and paid tiers. Purchases are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and are subject to their respective terms. All purchases are final and non-refundable except as required by law.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or meet your specific requirements. Currency conversions and calculations are for informational purposes only.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including any financial disputes between group members.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
